On 20 February we enjoyed a very successful clay pigeon shoot at Mooidraai Farm. We set out three ranges. The first range was from an automated machine shooting clays going away. The second station consisted of  clays from machines coming at you diagonally, which was very challenging because most hunters are not used to clays coming towards one.
The next station had two clays coming from two different directions, almost crossing each other in the centre.  We had 26 guns on the day. Top honours went to Brian Dorning, who walked away with a great hamper from Mooiplaas. Second and third prize was a tie between Jacques Naude and Cassie van der Spuy. The day was followed by a Nyala evening at the Mooidraai Lapa and fun was had by all.
