This trophy was donated by Kings Sports to the Association and was first shot for during 1993, giving it a 24-year history. From 2002 to 2007, the Trophy was consecutively won
by the Midlands Waidmannsheil team. It was then decided by the Association that the team should permanently keep the trophy. From 2008, the Kings Trophy was replaced
by the Nyala Trophy.

We believe the Kings Trophy is part of the Association’s history and therefore wish to return it to the Association for another proposed shooting competition.
Rowan Kirton of Kings Firearms has kindly agreed to sponsor the ammunition for the shoot as well as some prizes. You don’t not necessarily have to use this ammunition.
Should you use your own ammunition, you may take the sponsored ammunition home, subject to having the necessary licence.
