BOW HUNTING OPPORTUNITY 2025 AT TANGLETHORN ESTATE IN THE THORNVILLE AREA OF KZN
The Association has been given an opportunity exclusively for Bow Hunters to harvest various animals on the above-mentioned Estate.
Hunting conditions:
- All hunters need to be members of the Association and in possession of a valid Bow Hunting permit for KZN, which is available from Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.
- The Bow Hunting conditions as stipulated by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife will apply.
- Hunters need to be in possession of the relevant hunting licence for the species on their quota (available from the Office).
- Bow Hunting equipment must be suitable for the species being harvested and the Bow Hunter must be proficient in the use of his/her equipment.
- Bow Hunters may use hunting blinds, which the hunter must supply, if preferred.
- Animals to be harvested will be identified by a representative of the Estate, if necessary.
- The hunts will be conducted on a daily basis as there is no overnight accommodation
available on the Estate. - Hunters will be expected to recover, skin and gut the animals that they harvest. A covered skinning area with running water will be provided. No cold room facilities are available.

Procedure:
Completed applications must be submitted by close of business on the 11th of April 2025 and the draw will take place as soon as possible thereafter. Hunting dates can be booked from the 18th of April until the end of July 2025.
This year all hunters will be given the opportunity to hunt all species that are available. The quota will be available to the next bow hunter/s on a diminishing basis. i.e. for example, the first bow hunter/s will have the opportunity of hunting Impala Females, Impala Male, and/or Nyala Females, should these animals be on his or her wish list.
The hunter’s names will be drawn at random and will be placed in a descending order for the purpose of bookings.
R100.00 admin fee is to be paid with your application. Your application will only be registered once proof of payment of the admin fee has been received.
